I condem the Israeli genocide on the Palestinian people.

I condem American colonialism and their unprovoked attack on Iran.

FREE, FREE, PALESTINE! 🇵🇸

DOWN WITH ZIONISM!

DOWN WITH THE TRUMP REGIME!

DOWN WITH AMERICAN AGGRESSION!

As if the situation wasn't bad enough. And that decision was made _into_the_opposite_direction_ to what the US' allies were doing before: De-escalation.

All I can say is "What the *'*' Trump...?! How is that mental preschooler allowed in 'any' position of power?"

I was going to post a comment about this but I think it is useless. Bye, have fun supporting fanatics, murderers and terrorists

The minute I’m drafted, you’ll never hear from me again, I’ll already be dead or cut from the rest of the planet

@Jaguarknigh75 "Dude", I'm not a fan of Iran 'or' Palestine either. But that "me not being a fan" is limited to the regimes. Right now it is _the_people_, that suffer. They were just in the unfortunate position of being born in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Just for comparison: If it was easy to move to another country, find a job there, move everything you own, say goodbye to your friends, get granted citizenship, etc... Then several millions of US Americans would be several millions of Canadians now!
Now imagine the same situation, but you need to move all your earthly possessions, your family as well as 'their' earthly possessions _by_plane_, you do not speak the language of where you want to move to, have less education, and your life savings do not even cover the fraction of the cost. Plus: You are currently citizen in a regime that ranks right next to _Russia_ on the freedom index!* Do you really think they would let you leave, just like that?

Show some compassion! Please think before you speak, Jaguarknigh75...

@Jaguarknigh75 Oh, and also: As far as anybody is aware, they did not have any nukes to begin with. The facilities targeted by the US military were: The Fordow Uranium Enrichment Plant, the Natanz Nuclear Facility, and the Isfahan Nuclear Technology Center.
If they do/did indeed have "the bomb"/a singular nuclear bomb, 'unbeknownst to anybody', it would not be 'stored' in one of those places but rather in an appropriate military facility - or vehicle.

"It’s unclear how close Iran might be to actually building a nuclear bomb, if at all, but it has made significant progress in producing its key ingredient: highly enriched uranium. In recent years, it has sharply reduced the time needed to reach weapons-grade levels – now requiring just about a week to produce enough for one bomb. "

@Jaguarknigh75 requested further commentary from me via PM and I thought it would be a waste to share that work with just one person.
To avoid confusion for the other readers: There was also a "personal" aspect to the PM which I kept personal. This is the continuation of the more factual parts. While I am not too keen on having discussions on this time of day, I timed my reply so it would come in the same window of time @Jaguarknigh75 contacted me in yesterday, so they would be able to respond in a timely fashion.
I'll have to split the reply in 3 parts, both for the sake of readability and due to text limits.

This is going to be less 'wholesome' than my anime-related comments, but given the topic I do not expect that this will come as a surprise to anybody.

First Up:
You cited 'Fox News' as a source. I've written out a more formatted version of the "(1/3)"-bit here (https://yatsufusa.newgrounds.com/news/post/1544101 the 2025-06-24-Addendum), but for the sake of the text flow:

For the few readers who weren't aware: 'Fox News Channel' (FNC), commonly known as Fox "News" are a right-wing propaganda-machine that intentionally spreads misinformation and has a whole lot of other issues, Including, but not limited to, climate change denial, downplaying the COVID-19 pandemic, false claims about the 2020 election, the list is too long to feature here... As of June 2024, Fox News and its talk shows are considered "generally unreliable sources for scientific and political coverage" by Wikipedia.

On top of that, the network has been repeatedly accused of permitting sexual harassment and racial discrimination.

_Please_ get your news and news-related information from a _real_ news agency!

As for the claim that (and I left this statement unchanged) "i saw on fox news that there were 2 days away from the nukes.":
Going through coverage from reputable news agencies in my native language I could find no mention of what would have otherwise been a relevant and news-worthy factoid.
Can you provide any source - as in "a direct quote attributed to somebody who does not talk out of their ass routinely and would actually, feasibly 'have' that information"?

At the time of writing, 9 countries are known to have a nuclear arsenal: The US, the UK, France, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel - who could now nuke the Iran "without fear of retaliation". Except that Iran could 'already have' various nuclear devices - including, but not limited to, dirty bombs. Which fanatics now have every incentive to hand-deliver to the US.
The one thing that we all know for certain Iran has in abundance, working centrifuges or not, is 'radioactive material in obscene quantities'.

President Donald Trump does not even show the slightest indication of caring about that risk. The following is speculation, but if I had to guess, I would say that is because his mayor and minor goals looked as follows:
- Intentionally destabilize the region and escalate the situation further.
- At the same time this _again_ escalates a conflict that several other nations were in the process of de-escalating. ('Politics for grown-ups' take a little longer than military strikes.)
- Provoke Iran to close the 'Strait of Hormuz', to throw the world economy into disarray once more through cutting access to liquefied natural gas and fossil fuels. (Aiding Russia, btw. who are still merrily selling their supplies through third parties.)
- Actively _provoke_ terrorist attacks on US Military (like the military base in Qatar), or US cities - so he gets an excuse for further attacks and more radicalized US citizens, cheering his name.
- From an US-centric view, Russia, China, and North Korea should 'also' not "be allowed to have the bomb". Let's just yell "Fake News" at everyone who mentions it. That worked out great in the past.
- Effectively, Trump wants conflict, and a lot of it. Angry and desperate people make angry and desperate decisions. He makes statements that at face value read as "You two make peace", but the way they are worded and their frequency make it very clear that he frames himself as their superior who (in his own mind) has the authority to order them around. At the same time he provokes both sides to escalate the conflict again, and I am _convinced_ that he is fanning the flames even more behind the scenes.
(I would like to add that 'at the time of writing', both parties are in ceasefire and I hope it stays that this will lead to a peace that lasts a little longer.)
- And lastly: Make people pay attention to him. Something he always seems very concerned about for some reason.

Lastly, I'd like to address something unspoken that many have no doubt thought about: A question of... not so much "responsibility"... but of "guilt"! Personally I am always more focused on thinking about the voiceless, as well as prevention and "fixing problems" - but I think at this stage a lot of "but what about..."-ism seems to be happening and so I thought it would be worth addressing it:

Is the Iranian regime blameless? In my opinion: Absolutely not!
Iran's efforts to get their hands on nuclear weapons have been a constant "Na na-na-na-na!" into the face of the international community and their views on social topics and gender are so outdated/backward that you'd have to read them to believe that those are the words of humans living in the present.

Is the State of Israel blameless? In my opinion: Absolutely not!
Call me an extremist, but I think not just willfully accepting the suffering and deaths of civilians but also 'specifically aiming' for such an outcome is monstrous!
Both sides have been "more than horrible" to each other and there is a lot of _very_ spiteful history to consider. But Benjamin Netanyahu's actions have robbed the people of Israel of any moral high ground in this matter. He received _the_privilege_ to make decisions that shape the State of Israel, how the world perceives it, and the lives of his people. I am a very calm person, but I feel a lot of disgust (and other negative emotions) towards that man on behalf of the people he is being allowed to rule over.

Is US president Trump an egocentric monster with no concern for the sanctity of human life. In my opinion: Absolutely!
The man lies as soon as he opens his mouth. But honestly: I would be wasting my time to elaborate on that. Anyone who cannot recognize why that man is "evil" has either completely removed themselves from the news or has drunken so much "Kool-Aid"* that 'getting them to pay attention and think about how that man acts' would require more than just a little comment on the internet.

My apologies to @SkankyMojo for the length of this. I suspect we will not agree on every single point and you will probably be more educated on certain topics I touched on. When I started commenting here I genuinely wanted to make "just a quick statement" to show that this is something that matters and share some thoughts on the matter.

But at the same time I felt that "next time" (if there will ever be one for me) I should put in the effort to moderate a discussion on a News Post of my own, even if I do not see myself as a qualified expert.
Sorry for the noise and thank you for indulging/enduring me. :)
